The goal of my blog is to get my creative juices flowing. The rule is I must post an original creation once a week; be it drawing, photo, story or design piece. In the future, I’ll be adding a portfolio and eventually this blog will be replaced with a full website. But until then, enjoy my posts.
I’m a graphic designer who’s been living in Seattle since the dawn of the century. I was born and raised in South Pasadena, California. When I’m not working or trying to be creative, I’m reading comic books, collecting tiki trinkets, hanging out with some awesome friends or enjoying a good soak.

DC Comics has a new logo :\
So DC Comics presented their new logo (on the right) and I'm not thrilled with it. It looks like it was designed to be a motion graphic, but the problem is that it doesn't work as a static image. The peel away D doesn't read as a letter. It's also a bit too polished and slick. The old logo (left) may have had it's faults, but it feels like a comic book logo.
Yes, the new logo is super customisable and maybe to will look really cool moving while projected on the big screen. I just think that you should be able to read the DC in the DC Comics logo.

George Nelson at BAM
Snuck a few shots of the George Nelson exhibit at the Bellevue Art Museum. It has some great examples of mid-century furniture, graphic and environmental design. Quite inspiring. #GeorgeNelson
